Thanks, yes, misfire goes away when I take foot off peddle and engine not under load. The good news is yesterday, I replaced fuel pump (old unit was Walbro) with a Bosch pump, replaced 15 year old wires with new Bougicard wires, recleaned throttle body and replaced turbo waste gate hose which was pretty cooked. I also pulled throttle bottle to clean more completely and checked EGR which was quite clean and unblocked. A few vac connections seemed loose so I improved their fit and also replaced vac tree o-ring. I now have a very fast car with no misfiring!!! If I had to guess, while all minor repairs helped and certainly increased fuel pressure should help, I would bet it was the wires that made the difference . . . always the simple things it seems. This car is a a beast!

Oh, I had also removed and cleaned idle air control valve and cleaned TPS electrical connector contacts. Quite often, I have found a light blue grease I believe in some of the connectors. At first, I thought this was blue/green corrosion but now I think it was either a factory installed electrical grease or PO had used soeme other product. Anyone encounter this? Thanks!

Guess the wires were not as new as they looked when you wrote your first post.
Dielectric silicone grease comes in many different colors although a clear to clear/white is most common. It tends to turn a brownish/clear with heat.

The green flaking substance is the common corrosion found if the connector is exposed to air or water over time.

So what is your fuel pressure now ?
What was the date on the wires?

this stuff is more like a blue green grease, either way, I cleaned liberally with electronic contact cleaner. Wires had a 01 date! Fuel pressure is now about 43psi -thanks again
