Re: FCP back on MVS as a Sponsor!
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.
Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Point of clarification: In order for MVS to get credit when buying on FCP, do we have to use the link at the top of the page?

Like the Amazon link, what are the restrictions for using it? ie: Do we have to check out a certain amount of time after clicking that link? Will you get credit for items moved to the cart from "saved for later"? I have a lot of parts to buy and want to be sure MVS gets the credit.

There is no granular tracking with FCP, as opposed to the Amazon link. FCP pays me a fixed amount each month, while Amazon pays me for each specific referral that results in a purchase.
That said, FCP certainly tracks gross traffic coming from MVS, and probably the gross sales from that traffic.
To answer your question, yes, it helps to click the FCP banner ad at the top of MVS pages. But no, it's not a 1:1 type system like Amazon is. There are no time restrictions or cart specifics to worry about.
I'm guessing an occasional "MVS sent me!*" email or Facebook comment (https://www.facebook.com/fcpeuro/) would help the FCP-MVS relationship more than remembering to click their ad before buying from them. Sales numbers are important... but just numbers. An email or comment that makes its way to FCP management is more of a real, personalized reminder of what matters to you, the customer.
Thanks for caring enough to ask, FF31!
* or "I buy from FCP because FCP supports MVS" etc.
