I also checked to see if the fuel pump was running, it did. Fuel out of rail at valve. Also jumped the fuel pump relay, pump ran constantly. Going to check for spark tomorrow.

Battery is 4 years old but what gets me is that I was driving when everything stopped.RickHaleParker wrote: ↑29 Mar 2020, 17:00You need to put the battery on a charger for at least a couple of days. Then take it to a parts store for a bench test.
3-4 times then "thud" is symptoms of a battery issue but it could be other things.

UPDATE:
Haven't touched my T5 since Sunday. Checked for spark today, pulled plug #1 and grounded it on the block. Turn over the engine, see spark and it starts! Put plug back in, crank again, its starts! While idling, there's a noticeable "ticking" noise coming from the head/plug area. Shut it down and dropped it off the jack stand (just pass. front). Try to start again, only turns over, no start. Tried to repeat the first condition right down to aligning the timing marks, pulled plug #1, no start. Added 2 gal. of gas thinking the fuel gauge is bad, aligned timing marks, with #1 plug in, no start...

Just read this from another post...my situation exactly except the right side was jacked and a little low on oil. "Lifter ticking was mostly the result of having started the engine with one side of the car jacked up looking for exhaust leaks and having way too little oil in the crankcase."valvolvo70 wrote: ↑01 Apr 2020, 15:42 UPDATE:

Low on fuel?
What fuel gauge is showing...where is the needle?
Put it back on that jack stand and try to start it again.

Did you try giving it a 3 -5 second shot of Starting Fluid and see if it fires on ether. If it fires or starts on either it is a Air/Fuel issue.

I haven't yet Rick, thank you for the reminder. So do I spray SF past the MAF sensor? Or...RickHaleParker wrote: ↑02 Apr 2020, 12:50 Did you try giving it a 3 -5 second shot of Starting Fluid and see if it fires on ether. If it fires or starts on either it is a Air/Fuel issue.

Past the MAF. You want it deep so that you need not worry about backflash. Put a spray tube on on the can. Pull a vacuum hose somewhere along the air intake pass the MAF. Use the spray tube to inject the either.valvolvo70 wrote: ↑02 Apr 2020, 15:59 I haven't yet Rick, thank you for the reminder. So do I spray SF past the MAF sensor? Or...
