What sold me was that this also includes disposal of the used oil by sending it back to FCP. $20 for 6 Liters of the good stuff AND disposal is a sweet deal for me.
That's what I'm hoping to do also. Purchased a lot of consumables including oil and filter and never did that but will try to remember now.

And FCP is good with this ?? Something doesn't seem right, regardless.

I've warrantied a couple of parts and they were good for it and told me the same for used oil and filter. The amount of stuff that I didn't return, as most people don't, is profit enough perhaps to cover their lifetime warranty.

FCP makes it very clear that it's ok to return used fluids. They must be packed up carefully. Their site has text and video info about this.

The deal gets about $6 sweeter because buying the oil, filter, and washer costs enough to give free shipping. So it will truly be only the cost of return shipping.

It’s even sweeter when FCP is on the route to the ferry where SWMBO cooks me a steak dinner each night when I come and I ca drop returns for “ free”

I have been purchasing the nice liquimoly with filter, crush ring and cap gasket for the last few years. They take it back every time and I love that it only costs me shipping for those oil changes. I've also utilized the warranty return on several parts. I'm never going back to buying local if I can can get lifetime warranty on blue box parts. Those of you that live in the north east count yourself lucky. I pay shipping from Texas.

What carrier do you use for return shipping? I've used the 12x12x12 flat rate box at UPS but that's still not ideal.

Call me old-schooled but I do not take advantage of FCPEuro fluid LT warranty.

I have been a customer of FCPEuro for 18 years.
What I have used as LT warranty in the past:

- 2005 XC90 rear tailgate struts, yes the Stabilus failed in 3 yrs, so I returned them for free and got new ones.

- For me, brake pads, oil, tires etc. etc. are wear-tear items no matter what car I own. While I understand FCPEuro does this LT thingy to lure more customers, I have never abused their good will. So, I only return stuff that I think should be honored. Also, the return trip is not w/o pain:

1. I still have to get a RMA, shipping container.
2. I still have to go to UPS/Fedex (it costs time/money to drive to UPS/fedex too).
3. Then wait 1-2 weeks before betting the $ back.

For me, shipping used oil just to save a couple $, not for me.

However, let's say a 3yr-old tailgate struts or a 3 yr-old alternator: then yes.
It is worth the hassle.

Anyway, prop to FCPEuro for doing this, they did not have to go to extreme to honor used oil, used brake pads...

PS: With pandemic going on, NAPA now sells the 5qt synthetic oil for $18, not a bad deal.

What if we just paid FCP the $20 for each bottle of new oil rather than shipping it back. This is much Greener! We dispose of it and they don't have to use man power to sort, store and dispose. I've yet gone to the trouble of sending oil back. Perhaps so few send oil back that if FCP used my suggestion they will lose money because it'll be too easy to claim the LT Warranty?

I only change my oil annually. I wait until I have enough parts to make a 12x12x12 box more efficient for shipping. Some orders are better than others but I'm just glad to have the service. Sometimes I wait too long and have to get store credit instead of a refund but I'll find a way to spend it. I also take advantage of the $50 free shipping. I try to think ahead and order parts I'm already planning to change. It also came in real handy for my transmission fluid change out. Pumped 12 liters through both volvos and they needed it badly. I have not had to chabge brake pads on my 850 in over 10 years. They still have more than 50% life on them.
