Big thanks to everyone on this board. The problem has been solved with a new set of spark plugs.
So now I have an extra TCV and PEM if anyone needs one. Not thrilled about selling them on ebay because apparently ebay now requires you to give them your bank account number in order to sell something.

2008 S60 2.5T with now 237k miles. Well, the problem has returned. Stumble/hesitation when accelerating at highway speed. No other issues, runs like a champ.
From my notes on here, it looks like I replaced the spark plugs in 2021 and appeared to have resolved the issue at the time. Is it normal for spark plugs to only last 3 years?

I recently replaced the fuel pressure sensor on my 08 2.5T, but my symptoms were a full cutout at 70-75mph almost like a transmission slip.
If decent plugs were installed I would suspect a coil going bad.

There are no codes and I don't have VIDA to tell me which coil might be having a problem. Maybe I just live with it until the coil actually throws me a code?

I had this issue and it was the throttle body, as well as a vacuum leak mostly on the turbo/OTE Pipe seal, as well as the hose array that goes from the intake manifold to the purge valve.

Much of my time during the job is spent hauling things up and down the stairs to the basement or in and out of the storage shed, or running back downstairs when I realize I need something else,or taking a break from standing out in the sun,or using flashlights or work lamps when it gets dark.

Just swapped the coils out today on the 02 V70 XC with the newer 00 S70 SE Base units and the hesitation / hiccup / glitch / lower torque mount / shift flare wild goose chase, rabbit hole problem is gone.

UPDATE
For the past year or so, I've experienced studder/hesitation at highway speed when accelerating. Finally, experienced failure such that a CEL came on. Turned out it was P0303 and P0300. Looked into cylinder 3 and found the spark plug was loose...not fully seated in the threads. Pulled the plug and noticed the L-shaped electrode was completely gone. Hoping it just eroded/burned itself away rather than snapped off somehow. Had to replace both the spark plug and the coil pack, but it's running much better. Still feel a slight studder/hesitation, but not nearly as frequent or significant now. Maybe there's another plug/coil ready to go.
