usparts.volvocars.com is offering 20% off service parts from 1/17/22 through 1/23/22. When you use local pickup at your local dealership, it may also give you the automatic 10% off for doing so.

This may be for oil change and other consumable parts which we likely get from FCP. You never know, there may be discounts on obscure parts which can only be ordered through the dealership, VolvoPartsWebStore, Tasca and not at FCP, IPD, eEuroparts. Check it out.

Sorry for the late notice (it expires today). Looks like we should check on July 4th weekend each year. Please post any other dates which usparts.volvocars.com had sales so we can watch for them at those same times in the future.

15% isn't much but certainly better than nothing and where Volvo really gouges you is on shipping. So the free shipping ends up being a huge savings for buying parts from the dealer.

Thanks for the notice. I literally had my calendar set for Labor Day in hopes of a big sale. I'm trying to track when these sales happen throughout the year so I can predict them in the future, scheduling my purchases.

Remember that ordering from a dealership with local pickup adds ANOTHER 10% off to the sale. This discount applies every day so stacks during sales.

It may be cheaper to buy parts from Volvo instead of FCP when time-to-failure is long enough to not need warranty. I'll be ordering the brake booster vacuum check valve and battery negative cable from Volvo. Heck, maybe even a windshield. Definitely front springs, since the Lesjofors are lesser quality.

You may want to buy now before inflation eats you alive:
At least one part I want has increased in price since the Independence Day sale (7/4/22). Part 3546641, a front coil spring, was $166 list in 11/21, $177 list on 7/9/22, and is now $183 list on 8/16/22. After 23% sale + in-store discount, it's $140. It's $145 at FCP, so you're paying only $5 for the lifetime warranty. Both 7/22 and 8/22 prices were during sales. Is this inflation or some other price raising trick?

usparts.volvocars.com is offering 15% off parts and accessories with free shipping for orders over $100. The sale runs 11/25/22 to 11/27/22. Remember to purchase parts for pick up at your local dealership to score an additional 10% off, 23% off total (see previous posts in the thread for info).

The OEM catalytic converter which I thought I would need for the T5M is excluded from the sale, according to a small note below the item's price. This means that other items may be excluded. Still, the 10% off from my local dealership applies, which would grant a $100+ savings here.

However, the new battery I need is $100 list, $77 after 23% stacked discount for pickup at the local dealership. That's vastly cheaper than the $243 they quoted me over the phone for, I believe, the same battery they have in stock. Always check usparts.volvocars.com for the part you need before calling or visiting your local dealership (and before shopping anywhere online because it may be cheaper with pickup).

As the clocked struck midnight of Cyber Monday, usparts.volvocars.com increased their discount from 15% to 20%. Combined with the 10% in-store pickup, you're getting 28% off! That's a great discount on hard to find and genuine parts.

I've found that some old obscure parts, likely Genuine Classic Parts coming from gcp.se, are not eligible for the 15-20% off discount. A catalytic converter and intercooler lower hose are examples of exclusions which I've found. Still, they get the 10% in-store pickup discount.

VP Autoparts carries parts for the 850 and earlier with a few things for 1998 and newer.
Mitchell Volvo in Simsbury, CT was able to quickly fulfill an order for him containing a part which Tasca was unable to get.

Another site to consider for parts is volvopartscounter.com, thanks to foggydogg. They're located in CT near FCP but apparently ship even faster than them. Check them out for price and availability comparison.
