Did you send the broken one back to FCP out of habit?

It was a good day to do INDOOR plumbing. Strong North wind and a high of 32 F. Yesterday I worked about 5 hours on the second bathroom sink, drain, supply hoses, and faucet replacement. I knew I did not have everything needed for the drains, but planned to replace the drain another day. Murphy said "No, replace it now." when the disconnection of the old drain broke the drain pipe. Two trips to the hardware store and I ran out of day. The drain hole in the wall is off set from the sink which made the drain piping unusual.
The other unexpected problem was the sink was well attached to the counter top. I had to cut the caulking and pry the sink up.
Today, I continued the work and made better progress. I did not expect the sink tail piece to need teflon tape at the pipe joint, but it did. On the second sink, I had a large leak at this joint until I taped and tightened it. When I checked the first sink, it also had a small leak at that point.
This afternoon, I continued with other indoor plumbing. I added a replacement O-ring seal to the bath/shower valve. I replaced a balky toilet flush handle. And, I replaced two rusty wall flanges at toilet water supply valves.
With cleanup, I worked another 4 hours today. But I think it all looks and works good. At least for now.

It took me several years (some 10-years ago) to upgrade all the bulbs around the house to those relatively very expensive LED 20-year life bulbs.

Now, you got to love Mayfair brand toilet seat with Whisper-Close® hinge slowly and quietly closes eliminating slamming and pinched fingers -- enamel on wood -- replaced all 3 around the house.

I am considering replacing our toilet seats with all plastic material. The enamel over wood seats get discolored over time from harsh cleaning products. I am too cheap to spring for the soft close seats.

I have found there are some cheap brand LED bulbs that do not last a year.
