More statistics on US states and COVID-19 growth rates. My raw information is from Worldometer. Any errors or misrepresentations are my own.

These tables show all available US states and territories and the COVID-19 data for the last 5 days. I have sorted the states alphabetically and added growth rates for last several days for all states with ranking of each day. Of course, this information changes daily. I have presented the table in two parts because of the screen shot, but it is actually one table in Excel.

August 30, 2023 the calculated growth rate for all United States was 0.0105. This is the highest growth rate since February 22, 2023, when it was 0.0108. The number of new Covid-19 cases are rising again, but the increase is still fairly low.

The CDC has announced the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency and more states have ended Covid-19 reporting. Since May 14, 2023, 33 states and territories have not reported results. However, I still have been receiving reports from other states through Worldometer. I will be continuing daily reports as long as the information is relevant.

In early August, the number of reported active cases had dropped below 800,000 for the first time since July 2021. At the end of August, active cases are once again above 900,000.

There have now been 108 million total cases of Covid-19 in the US. This is 32% of the total US population. Reinfections and under reporting will distort the total number of cases.

With new home tests widely available, new case counts are likely under counting the true number of active cases.

There have now been 108 million total cases of Covid-19 in the US. This is 32% of the total US population. Reinfections and under reporting will distort the total number of cases.

With new home tests widely available, new case counts are likely under counting the true number of active cases.

More statistics on US states and COVID-19 growth rates. My raw information is from Worldometer. Any errors or misrepresentations are my own.

These tables show all available US states and territories and the COVID-19 data for the last 5 days. I have sorted the states alphabetically and added growth rates for last several days for all states with ranking of each day. Of course, this information changes daily. I have presented the table in two parts because of the screen shot, but it is actually one table in Excel.

Again, results change daily.

August 30, 2023 the calculated growth rate for all United States was 0.0105. This is the highest growth rate since February 22, 2023, when it was 0.0108. The number of new Covid-19 cases are rising again, but the increase is still fairly low.

The CDC has announced the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency and more states have ended Covid-19 reporting. Since May 14, 2023, 33 states and territories have not reported results. However, I still have been receiving reports from other states through Worldometer. I will be continuing daily reports as long as the information is relevant.

State growth rates for September 11, 2023. All information is based on reported information and actual results may be different.

For your information, the top 5 states or territories yesterday in growth rate 30 day average (the worst containment) are: US Virgin Islands (0.163) with 25,685 cases, North Dakota (0.116) with 293,570 cases, New York (0.110) with 7,112,447 cases, Wisconsin (0.052) with 2,043,838 cases, and Delaware (0.046) with 336,184 cases. US Virgin Islands has been in the top 5 states for 418 of the last 446 days. North Dakota has been in the top 5 states for 80 of the last 99 days. New York has been in the top 5 states for 296 of the last 341 days. Wisconsin has been in the top 5 states for 70 of the last 71 days. Delaware has been in the top 5 states for 82 of the last 91 days.

Several states have stopped posting new case and new death numbers. I will back calculate where possible. These Districts and states have not reported in the last 30 days or more: Alabama, Arkansas, California, District Of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Guam, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming, Veteran Affairs, US Military, Navajo Nation, and Federal Prisons.

My calculated growth rate for USA is 0.00399 for yesterday, up from previous day of 0.00345. This is not population or case number weighted. Yesterday, 54 states and territories did not report new cases.
