Just added another one to the collection... only made it 2 days with less than 5 Volvos on the driveway!

Washed my newest Volvo a little bit ago. I need to clay it and polish it, but overall it's in really good shape! Only 106k miles and a binder of service records. I very rarely pay asking price on cars, but I think this one was worth it!
It'll be for my brother, and I'm going to fix up the '01 to sell. The '01 is in good shape overall, but this car needs less work and has less than half the miles of the other one. It was even dealer maintained up until the previous owner!

Anyone had any luck just buying aftermarket headlight and changing over the reflectors? Eeuroparts has Uro headlights for $69 each right now.

I replaced the B+ fuse box cable and lo and behold the mysterious codes are gone! I don't know why I didn't do it sooner... I guess since I had only 0.01V drop, I didn't worry about it. Dare I say it seems even my cluster warning lights are all slightly brighter now too, like they should be!
Upon removing the terminal from the fuse box, I quickly discovered it was due for replacement! I noticed it was corroded and I saw a broken strand a day or two ago, but I didn't know it was this bad. The wire coating was melted together and the lug was slightly discolored.

Checked again at idle, still 0.01V drop from B+ to fuse box B+.

Also replaced a lower door trim piece on the silver S60. Cosmetically complete now! All I need to do now is replace the driver door lower trim since the front screw anchor is broken. Stupid me didn't realize ends were screwed in at the junkyard and I damaged the only trim piece they had, the rest of the S60s were facelift models. Fortunately I learned from that and didn't do the same thing with the rear door trim!

So got to work early and am sitting here idling for about 10min when I see smoke coming from under the hood. Dash temp is reading normal. Pop the hood only to see the coolant reservoir overflowing. What's going on? I've suspected a bad thermostat but not a bad temp sensor.

You probably caught it hot but not overheated yet. Bad thermostat a definite possibility and first thing to try after reviewing history.

So do you think my temp sensor is probably fine? I have a thermostat just haven't swapped it yet.

It depends how hot it got. If there's a blockage due to the thermostat and that's what over pressurized the reservoir, the gauge likely wouldn't have moved if you caught it quickly. These gauges don't tend to respond very quickly.
