well, not what I did but going to do (hopefully)
After returning home from a short drive yesterday, one of our other family drivers said the "Engine Service Required" amber light popped up. All fluids (oil, coolant, brake) checked and good. When I started it last night, the A/C was on.
*a little background: the coolant fan was constantly on last week. No codes with Torque plus OBD-2 (do not have access to VIDA--yet) Recharged the A/C and fan operation returned to normal. Another potential factor: Thursday there was a traffic incident which delayed the commute home (almost two hours to drive 5 miles) so a lot of stops and starts and 5MPH when moving. I kept the car in neutral when not moving then turned on the A/C to keep the fan cooling.
Friday's commute was normal, no warning lights, cruise control functioned normally, MPG was normal for the entire day.

MAF replaced April 2021
Battery replaced October 2020
PCV is due for cleaning/service
Not sure but I think I'll try scanning this morning and see what pops up. Any other ideas? thanks

Getting my windshield replaced tomorrow on the s60. It's been leaking for years and finally developed a crack once the weather got cold. Looking forward to a crack-free driving experience now. $250 CAD all-in.

Fuyao. I was intending on posting the brand when I originally posted too... oops.
Got quoted $320 last September originally once it happened. Glad to see prices went down a bit. Paid $220 for my wife's windshield in 2019 so we're not quite back there yet.

Out the door at 7:00am this morning and home for 11:00am, gearbox oil flushed twice and serviced. Mechanic said the old oil was in good condition, no nasty smells but was just starting to change colour ever so slightly, so perfect time for an oil change

Ordered without the option. And I was wrong. When they did my wife's it was Fuyao, this one was XYG. Probably gonna leak in a couple years. The entire top part of it was rusted and the had to sand it down and prime it

I have a Fuyao with rain sensor. Rain sensor does not work. In past I've had Pilkinton, too. Rain sensor worked well, however the windshield itself was like 10 times softer than the factory installed Pilkinton: in one year it was in a worse condition than 10+ years old Pilkinton it replaced.

Oil change on the 08 S60 2.5T last night. Getting warmer so using the Valvoline HiMi Full Syn 10w30 I pickup up on sale. Topped off the final quart with a 0w20 and 15w40 cocktail of new leftover oil. Car is running great at 154k miles.
