I've followed Volvos on Capital for years. This is the first one of these I've seen on there, and my guess is they were rare in the US in '98.

Nice wheels on that 98. There weren't many but only like 8 years ago they were easy to get if you were willing to spend up a little for it.

That's my bookmark bid - as you are well aware, there aren't any more spots under the trees out back, even if I wasn't skint - and I figured this thread would be the right place to spread the word to the local crowd, much like posting C/L ads.

As stated clearly one post above, this was posted for people who are local to the auction house, and may have an interest in this rare car. By Google Earth calculation, Manchester, New Hampshire is over 4,200 km from Calgary, AB., and there is a border to cross.

Sounds like the typical rod bearing failure on these later T5s. Unfortunately this isn't unheard of.
