The one in our 850 was about 7" long on the passenger side and once drilled was still like that 4 years later when we sold it!

Our 850 had a blow out, went off the road and hit a tree, son says the frame is badly bent in the front
and so it seems to be totaled. No one was hurt at least.
I believe that the engine and transmission are good, does anyone want this car for parts?
The paint and interior are a mess but there are certainly some good parts, calipers, etc. struts were new
with about 50K miles on them. The ABS module was fixed by the guy on here.
It is in Connecticut on the RT 15 (meritt Parkway) near exit 52 on the side of the road, if anyone wants it
it would be best to get it from there by the end of the day. We will either tow it to our house, or straight to
the junk yard.
It served them well, and was quite reliable and worked well once we got all the fixes done.

Yes, excellent point about the protection provided, I got the impression that she had slowed down but just couldn't control it, but if she hit with some speed it is even more impressive.

My son had this towed to a public lot near their apartment. We now have 100 mile towing on our AAA so it could be moved
to my house in Trumbull CT, or the 100 mile distance from Shelton CT.
If we move this to my home I'd like it out in 2-3 weeks no longer.
The air bags did not go off by the way!
