Put your glasses on BEFORE you blast out of the chute! Like LeMans - latch the door, put on your belts. Don't be a Willy Mairesse....
"In his rush to get away, Willy Mairesse did not shut his door properly. At the end of the Mulsanne Straight at a speed of over 150 mph (241 Km/h), it flew open. Trying to close it he lost control and the GT40 careened off the track into the trees. Mairesse suffered broken bones and head injuries which left him in a coma for two weeks and ended his racing career."
That ended the running start in 1969 at LeMans after Jackie Ickx protested the practice by walking to his car and starting dead last. On that very lap, John Woolfe crashed his 917 and was killed because he hadn't fastened his racing belts. Ickx and his co-driver Jackie Oliver eventually won the race.
MOAR trivia, warning!... Did you know that's why Porsches have the ignition key on the left side? At the LeMans running start, you'd jump in, put it in gear with your right hand while starting it with your left - thus a tradition was formed.
PS - His 850 sounds way healthier than my 850.......

Well, The Who has a US concert tour lined up, but I'll bet it gets canceled. Read the fine print before buying a ticket....there may be a no refund proviso.

More Telework Also Means More Porn — And That's Good News For Hackers
The coronavirus has infected more than 450,000 people worldwide, and
now cybersecurity experts are warning the pandemic could take a toll
on computer systems, as well.
Many companies that usually handle sensitive information in their
offices are now telling employees to work from home. And that can make
them more vulnerable to hackers — especially if workers browse certain
websites they wouldn't visit when the boss is watching.
In other words, porn.
Porn is one of hackers' favorite tools, and it may be more effective
if a company's employees decide that what's typically NSFW — not safe
for work — is safe for working from home during the coronavirus
outbreak.

'Glimmer of Hope': When Can We Say Social Distancing Is Working?
...
...
"It's way too early to think that we've hit the peak here," says Chris
Murray, a professor at the University of Washington. If you're looking
for evidence that social distancing is working, he says, you should
look for a flattening in the curve in the number of deaths. And social
distancing simply hasn't been in place long enough in the U.S. to see
that.
"If you look at a place like Wuhan, it was four weeks between putting
in strict social isolation and seeing the peak in deaths," Murray
says, referring to the city in China where the virus was first noted.

Good read, with historical aspects back to "... Moloch, a Canaanite
god to whom children were sacrificed for the greater good."
The economy v our lives? It's a false choice – and a deeply stupid one
