This is a slow motion train wreck. But the momentum of the train is astronomical.

It's not going to be uniform across US, but will depend upon factors cited below. As mentioned before, having just one infected person in a rural community can affect many; its the asymptotic ones, or those who go to work, who will affect many. Experts are indicating virus will be back this fall, even when summer weather might reduce its spread...hopefully, medical treatments will assist, but regardless, there will be coronavirus related deaths.

Coronavirus cases hit 2 largest US cities differentlyLOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles recorded its first case of coronavirus five weeks before New York City, yet it’s New York that is now the U.S. epicenter of the disease.

Interesting. But not 924 models. I had a '78. I loved that car, even though it was underpowered. Sold it more than 30 years ago .

Not my car:

Update of states COVID-19 day over day infection growth rate. The copied information give background information.
volvolugnut wrote: 26 Mar 2020, 09:54 More statistics on US states and CORVID-19 growth rates. My information is from Worldometer. I have added the last two columns in the tables. Any errors or misrepresentations are my own.

These tables show all available US states and territories and the CORVID-19 data. I have sorted the rows for growth rate from March 25 to March 26. Of course, this information changes daily. I have presented the table in two parts because of the screen shot, but it is actually one table in Excel.

You may check your own or local state's results to get a one day snapshot of local infection spread. Again, results change daily.

Do you find this information useful? Interesting? Frightening?

My home state of Oklahoma still ranks high (.54) with yesterdays highest growth in Idaho (1.08). Anyone like potatoes?
In the short term, New York state had a very good day of slow growth.

New graphs of US states CORVID-19 infection growth rates for March 19 to March 26. I have attached two graphs - one for Coastal states with large number of cases and one for Midsouth states of interest to me. I have family in these states. Where the line for Colorado goes to zero, there were no new cases recorded for that day.

As stated previously, I have gathered this information from online sources and I am responsible of any errors or misrepresentations.

Since exposure can take 2 to 14 days to develop into new cases, it is hard to link a start of actions to limit exposure to a change in the shape of these graphs. However, it seems clear that a reduction in infections over time and the lower growth rate, is a very good result.
