Looking in my driveway, I must be JP Getty. All I need is an R template and a can of spray paint

Very nice open space and wide roads! Our HOA recently wanted to start penalizing monetarily for street parking. Guest only otherwise no overnight and only 2 hours during the day as if they really patrol all hours. From what I can tell they only come around once a month and if your car is in the street you get a letter. Told one of the board members it's public road so non-enforceable and they could be sued for impersonating law enforcement handing out parking tickets. Besides, there are no city "No Parking" signage on the street not that it matters. Now I have 3 cars in the street.
.
Blessings,

BKM

I have no issues with being $10k into a P80! Pot would be meeting kettle!

I would never, ever, however, spend $10k on an R with the wrong wheels and bumper. That's just maddening. And at an auction without a lot of real documentation. Yowza!

I get it. The MGB is too small for sleeping

From what I remember of my teenage years, the seats reclined in the MGB

For the documentation, the trick is to look at the original title that you get from the auction house and try to contact the previous owner. Worked for me. I didn't get many documents but I got the original window sticker, so I'm thrilled.

And yeah, I have a bunch of $k's into a 400k mile beater. Maybe I should have put them into a nice R. But $9300 is too much even for me.

Watch BaT and CaB for the VIN to see if it gets flipped. And hey, why not, if the buyer adds value when restoring it.

Agreed, and good eye. Those front bumpers are not something I see for sale every day, and if that's swapped, what else is weird on it?

The best buyer's advice I've ever read or heard was from Abacate maybe ten years ago: buy from a high income zip code. Chances are it's one owner and dealer serviced.

When I get back into the market for a P80, I'm going straight to that method, with patience.
