The state laws always apply unless she was registered/insured in another state or the accident happened outside MI.
What state did the accident occur in ? What state was her car registered/insured in?

I believe it was the same city as myself. The car I was driving was not insured to myself. It was registered to a friend of mine.
While doing repairs for him to keep the car on the road, this had occurred.
I had taken possession of the car after the fact. Therein became issues with the towing company etc...
EDIT:Answering a question from" rspi" Robert (cool guy) earlier in the thread, she was found at fault, and did receive a fine and suspension on her license.

- I actually enjoy doing this stuff. Your experience may differ.
- Not professional body work, but I can fake it.
- Junk yard fenders at $35. ea. is what to do.
- It all depends on having a driver car, and time to do it.
