Great thread. Have we come up with any solution for the aluminum bumper rail retaining water? Perhaps drilling down from the top so the material around the hole faces down (instead of crowning up, blocking the water from draining). But where to drill the drain holes?

My rear bumper currently looks like the first picture in jreed's writeup. Got to put some thought into if I really care enough to spend the money and time on this, my rear bumper has already been poorly spray painted by the previous owner so it will only look marginally better. I suppose if I decide to put a new bumper on I'll go ahead and do this too.
