- Now you know why I ignore this "Anti-Skid Message" for the last 4 years since I bought the car in 2014.
- I did a ton of research on Clockspring, accelerometer etc. Many people spend thousands of dollars only to be back to square one. I have learned to live with this dash message.
- In the winter I have snow tires, so this anti-skid thingy is something I don't miss at all.

yeah, I get it but can't help myself. I'm only in for the clockspring ($30), TCM ($19) and soon a yaw sensor ($70) = $119 so far (plus my time and effort). The first 2 weren't the issue, so I'll resell. maybe I'll get lucky...cn90 wrote: ↑21 Aug 2018, 22:11 - Now you know why I ignore this "Anti-Skid Message" for the last 4 years since I bought the car in 2014.

Still have not had time to test if the AWD is actually disabled.

So I replaced the yaw sensor under the passenger seat this weekend. It looks to have been in bad shape with tons of corrosion and oxidation inside the connection terminal as well.
Cleaned plug and replaced with new (used ) unit (FYI, I did this without removing the seat...there is room to work if you unplug the amp and move the rear air ducting aside).
After reconnecting battery I ran my scanner and did the DSTC calibrations. Then tried to read/reset at the DTCs. My unit still cannot connect to the SAS system and I continue to get the "faulty connection" warning.
So, after replacing the clockspring, the TCM at the CEM and now the Yaw sensor I have no luck clearing the anti skid message. in addition, I am now having intermittent dash light/center console extreme dimness and the hi beams won't stay on...
any ideas!?

In my first post I mentioned that the Yaw sensor should be examined. "Clockspring you did, SAS module (is yours built into the clock spring) and then steering wheel module. Next is the yaw sensor (known to get wet and go bad - disconnect yours and examine for water damage) - then the DEM which could be the actual DEM module, pump, temp/pressure sensor or solenoid, but could be entire Haledex piece."
At this point I would go back to the yaw sensor harness and make sure the fixed harness side side does not have internal connection corrsion. It will not be easy - a small pin in every contact repeatedly. Then spray with electrical connection cleaner and maybe use some dielectric grease. This is the problem I had with my steering module connector as mentioned. Concern is making the numerous connection sockets too wide that they loose contact. Use a small pin - maybe if you have an old school carb cleaner jet cleaner set you can find the right side with some barbs on it.
That yaw sensor does look bad. Did you clean out your sunroof drains and other drains?

Correct, all those things have been replaced. Scanner says no DTCs in DEM, so I'm hopeful that there is no issue there.
I cleaned the yaw sensor harness pretty well before reconnecting to the new unit, but did not use dielectric grease. easy enough to redo that, so i will. maybe I'll get lucky.
drains have been cleaned, but big evidence of water in there from previous ownership for sure (foam is all shot and floorboards are scaly). i really don't even want to pull carpet back and see how bad it is...
BTW, I'm told that a bad ignition switch can trigger all kinds of "ghost" dash messages. i'm replacing mine later in the week to correct the intermittently dim dash info/console display and hi beam issues. Hoping to get lucky there too.

Pull the wiring diagrams and check all the connectors and wire runs.
For the carpet, look for a replacement carpet, I see them from time to time on Craigslist for under $50. If you find one, pull the entire piece out and do a good examination of the wiring while you are there.
Most of the time your problem is the yaw sensor due to water intrusion.

Disconnect the sensor and don't reconnect - then check your codes. That way you know you have that issue for sure. Maybe it will provide a clue with additional codes.

would i expect to see any additional codes if I disconnect yaw sensor and run car? wouldn't disconnecting that interrupt the canbus and trigger other fault codes (or is that the point)?
