81mm bore with 90 mm stroke is the 2.3 litre that went in use in 1994 with turbo.
83mm bore with 90 mm stroke is the 2.4 NA motor that became the LPT in 1997 in 850.
83mm bore with 93.2 mm stroke is the 2.5 litre that was a LPT until the R models of 2004-2007.
There were several low pressure and mid pressure turbo versions ofthis engine. There was also a later version that came out in 2013 (P3) that dropped the stroke to 92.3 and dropped displacement from 2521 cc to 2497 cc.
There is a 2.4 litre Turbo that was introduced in 2005 that is a high pressure turbo and it is the 81mm bore with thicker cylinder walls as mentioned but uses the 93.2 mm stroke crank to give 2401cc. the 83mm/90mm 2.4 is 2435cc. This is the engine that serious boost addicts want as it is the one that has the highest displacement with thick cylinder wall bores.
