98 XC: making a trailer

UPDATE #5
Got most wiring on all 5 doors cut off. I left the wiring for the speakers and lights. Popped up both wiring loom rails running the length of the inside. Removed the fuel pump and pumped out the passenger side tank. I used a small hand saw to cut a hole to drain the driver side of the tank. Removed front seat belts from B pillar. Removed brake booster.
Next update in the next 3 days. Tomorrow suppose to be nice. Might start at 11am and go til 5pm.
Anyone need any relays or seat belts?
I'm sorry that the build hasn't been all that interesting so far. It will pick up once I start the wiring and fabricating.

UPDATE #6
I went HAM on the wiring today; spent about 4 hours cutting it out. I forgot that I also needed to deal with the harnesses at the front and remove the fusebox, so I've gotta do that. I probably will not release an update for that.
When I begin rewiring and adding in a fusebox, the updates should be more juicy. Mmmmmmm, juicy!

I'm glad you mentioned that because I have not been vlogumenting (a word I just made up) any of this. I'll try to remember to record much of what I do from now on. I'll make a mini sped-up video of all that I do. If I had recorded today's session (next update right after this response), y'all would get to hear me saying "I'm pulling my hair out right now" and "OMG my hair is all over the ground". LOL. BTW Im a dude and I do not have long hair.

Again I went HAM on the wiring. I said I probably would not release an update for the fuse box and huge harnesses but here it is. It was a tangle and a half, like girls' hair. LOL. For real it was a lot of fun getting all that mess figured out. Volvo never thought someone would be removing the fuse box for anything. I have decided to reuse the Volvo fusebox even though I bought a 12 way fusebox on eBay this morning. I think the Volvo fusebox now has 8 or 9 occupied spots with 4 extra for anything else. I'm telling yall, it's difficult to not say anything about what I'm going to be doing next. I'm SO EXCITED.
