Today I changed the rotor, distributorcap and spark plug wires on my S70 (sparkplug wires from Bougicord, the rotor and distributor from Bosch). Whilst placing back the airfilterbox I snapped of a vacuumhose. It doesn't seem to have a really big purpose, it comes out at the top of the box and go's back to the bottom of the airfilterbox. Question: can I drive with this?

Do you reckon the Volvo dealer sells these hoses?

ITS critical and you have to walk to the windmills until fixed.

It’s the temperature control for the air of flap. The temperature of air in the air filter box regulates how much vacuum goes to the motor that chooses either cold air from the front or hot air from the silver hose over the exhaust.

any vacuum hose that fits snugly will work, you don’t need to hunt the rare hRd line and then that expensive fitting which will likely crumble in your hands.

The car will run fine without it , especially in civilized climates like Orange Ville

Today I disassembled the old sunroof, it's worse than expected

I hate sunroofs! They frkn seem to always "explode" with plastic pieces flying everywhere every single time you show a potential buyer the car. Seriously, what's the purpose of a sun roof??

Gotta love that rust in there. It seems most of them are like that at this point.

Did a timing belt, water pump, and tensioner/idler job on somebody's white C70 coupe today. It's a super clean car, only 67k miles! Unfortunately he was involved in a small fender bender not long ago, but otherwise the car looks awesome on a set of black canistos. I actually met him the other day after selling him a corner light, then he called me yesterday after he got an outrageous quote on this timing belt job from a local shop. I should really be running my own Volvo shop by now...
