You have to live in a latitude where it’s dark when you commute in and dark at commute home, then you want a sunroof

The Volvo one is really well done

I was going to say look at why some of us like convertibles, and then go a few steps back from there.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

yeah I'm not fond of convertibles either. Neck gets fried if u drive top down, my mohawk gets messed up by the wind, too noisy on the freeway, expensive & complicated to repair. The list goes on, but hey that's just my 2 cents. Remember when I was fresh off the boat I was going to buy myself a convertible, no matter the make or model. Changed my mind pretty quick about that one!
EDIT: I usually look for seat warmers now when inspecting potential cars to buy :) Those California winter mornings with ice cold leather for your butt can be brutal

Realized my S70 has now rolled more than the Moon's average orbital distance of 384,402 km (238,856 mi) or 1.28 light-seconds. This is about thirty times the diameter of Earth.
More than 1.x light-seconds ha! Now that's something to brag about :P )

I invested in a pair of non-amber (euro-look?) turn lights. Still handled by Latvia'a mail service.

I like those corner lights! I thought about getting them for my car before I found the set of jewels.

Not a fan of convertibles either... can’t stand them. At my height, the top of the windshield messes with my line of sight, and they just don’t look that great.
That said, I’ve had 3 Miatas and I love them. They’re best with a hard top!

Well if you didn’t buy girl car convertibles and stuck with New Beetles your hair would be fine....

( I’ll have a look at the E83 thermo today, Alex)

Sigh....two years ago, I wrestled with replacing the AC compressor in Elizabeth, and did it. Yesterday, in a rare day approaching 90F in upstate, blessed cool AC poured forth from my vents, and there was peace and nirvana.

Has everyone heard the one about the Devil and the Engineer?

I've heard that one. It's pretty good.

On that note I'm getting ready for compressor replacement. I'm thinking of going in through the top and removing everything along the way and replacing the radiator while I'm in there. I figured that would give me extra working room. Any tips?

Cracking the compressor fittings is tough with everything there. You can really bugger those up, get new hardware after you get compressor and confirm fittings ( aftermarket often different )

Smart to get alternator out of the way

The suction and discharge hoses on P80 are NLA aftermarket so Volvo only, to tune of $200 each , last I checked.

New orings everywhere , lube with PAG 46 with leftover from the 90 ml you load into the new compressor.

The scan tech complete oring kit is incomplete so either buy two, order individually, or buy one and call me for the missing ones

That must be the problem... I didn't buy a Man Beetle!
Cold AC is a wonderful thing. Even my 940 is ice cold now. I swear, it only works when it wants to.

Not sure, but I did hear about when the Devil went down to Georgia.
