The connector is likely gummed up with oil and dirt... I wouldn't be surprised if that fixed it.

Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

Wow, that really is a beautifull Volvo! :shock: I just love them in that colour.

Today I received a lot of parts for my S70: front shocks, springs, mounts (both of them) and new anti-roll bar links (I think that's the proper English word for it). Do you guys know if I have to buy some special nuts and/or bolts from the Volvo dealer when putting the new struts together? The kit I bought is from Sachs by the way.

I think it depends on the kit you got, when I replaced the strut assemblies on my s70 I think it was advised that I replace the 3 small nuts (6 total) that hold the strut seat onto the frame. But I'm fairly sure they came in my kit.
