I'm not sure yet, I need to find an empty place I can goose it and turn and see if the rear is kicking in, or if it's delayed somehow.

And the garage is of course filled with old cars and loose engines and axles, so I can't pull it in.
I discovered that my AWD stopped working within the last 2 months also. I lifted the back end up and crawled underneath and tested the Haldex pump, It's not working. You can put 12 Volts to it and see if it spins. If you don't have any codes or CEL, and your angle gear and collar are good, you probably need a new pump.
It seems we had a situation with hard frozen ice and sleet on the street, then deep dry snow over top. So you instantly dug down to the ice and the wheels could dig divots. Multiple cars stuck just on our side street - a big Suburban, a beater Civic with shiny tires, and a Civic driven into the snowbank and high-centered. We might have 2' on the flat now.

I found some quiet corners and gave it some heavy throttle, and the rear end is pushing and the tail comes out, so it's working now. I dug through a snowbank.

Is the Haldex pump sometimes intermittent after no demand in the the dry months? Or does that imply it needs attention? I have the filter and oil to change....but haven't yet....

DEM looks at the throttle and brake pedal positions, as well as all four wheels speed. Gen 3 looks at the steering wheel angle, too (IIRC). It adds torque to rear wheels when needed. How power is distributed across axles is always changing. Can be observed by driving with VIDA/DiCE and DEM pump current + oil pressure displayed.

I did this job a few years ago (filter, fluid etc) when my awd wasn’t working. It still didn’t work after that. The problem was solved by replacing an ABS sensor, and brake position sensor.

I have done a few repairs on my 2004 V70R (M66) lately, including:
1. Replacing the tailgate wiring harness with a new one
2. Replacing the Tailgate Windshield Wiper Arm, Wiper Blades, and broken-off Windshield Washer Nozzle
3. Replacing the DIM module after repair

I find searching through the topics on this forum to be a challenge, often finding many posts relating to my searches, with some buried deep in this thread (What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?), and others posted as a New Topic.
I would like to share what I've learned (I know there are existing threads on each of these topics), but I don't want to unnecessarily add to the clutter.
What's my best strategy?

Probably best to start a new thread, can always add to existing ones if it is the same topic. Occasionally in search I find valuable info in this thread.

For my S60, would this support be enough?

Image

My s60 has rear nivomats and the rear is higher than the front. My question is if this tool has the potential to lean forwards and fall since the front of the fenders slope downwards toward the bumper? There are similar support bars with an additional support arm that goes to the front of the chassis and leans on it but it's more expensive.

To address your concerns, can you raise the front wheels on blocks or lower the rear by removing wheels?

I will be removing the subframe, as such I will need space underneath the car and the engine bay area to maneuver it away.

I do have jackstands, but unsure how or what to place on top of them to raise it a bit.

I feel like once there is load on that bar, it should be stable. The distance from the fender lip "feet" to the bar is fairly small, so there's little overturning moment. But as Lugnut says, you could also level up the body some.
