1 Jar or container 1.5 - 2 quarts with a mouth wide enough to get your hand in and a lid.
1 cup bleach.
3 cups water.
1 Wash cloth.

Place bleach and water in jar then mix. Drop wash cloth in jar. Put lid on jar.

To disinfect a surface. Remove wash cloth. Squeeze out excess. Wipe down surface. Return wash cloth to jar. Replace lid.

You do not need to compete with anybody to get these.
That sounds like a DYI medical grade disinfectant! I am assuming though you are disinfecting a cleaned surface? Even then shouldn't you rinse the cloth before returning it to the jar?

I use a garden variety 1 gallon pump sprayer fill with a little bleach and water for mold in the showers and tub and your 1/4 ratio of bleach to water seems very excessive  especially without gloves not to mention the fumes?

How about putting a couple crushed orange peels in the jar for fragrance?

If you want to get an idea of where this is headed, at 1130 each day, EST, Governor Cuomo gives an hour press briefing on the day's developments.

It isnt sugar coated. It is not a political rant fest about who is not doing what. Its info about how we are dealing with it in NY and NYC as best we can.

These tables show all available US states and territories and the COVID-19 data for the last 5 days. I have sorted the states alphabetically and added growth rates for last several days for all states with ranking of each day. Of course, this information changes daily. I have presented the table in two parts because of the screen shot, but it is actually one table in Excel.

Again, results change daily.
State growth rates for April 2, 2020.

For your information, the top 5 states yesterday in growth rate ( the worst containment) are South Dakota, Louisiana, Idaho, my own state Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania. Some of these states are repeatedly in the worst growth end of the list.

My calculated growth rate for USA is slowly dropping. Now down to 0.15 for yesterday for all states. A correction for April 1 USA growth rate - 0.149 instead of 0.136 as posted yesterday. For March 25 the rate was 0.25. Numbers get updated sometimes as reports arrive near the days end and sometimes they are revised for previous days. I still believe this is good data for short term trends.

A general caution: be careful to never mix bleach with any cleaner with ammonia. It creates hazardous chlorine gas.

I forgot a zero. Oh heck it not that hard to forget nothing.

The standard surface disinfectant ratio is 1/2 cup to 1 gallon = 1 cup:32 cups I intended to rounded that to 1:30 for easy memory. That did not work. Clearly a zero got lost somewhere up there.

The CDC recommends mixing 5 tablespoons (1/3 cup) of bleach per gallon of water =1 Cup:48 cups = 1.25 tablespoons: 1 quart of water. 1 Table spoon bleach to 1 quart of water would be easy to remember.

Yep this is intend for disinfecting not cleaning.

Ammonia + Bleach = Toxic Chloramine Vapors.
Alcohol + Bleach = Chloroform.
Acetone + Bleach = Chloroform.

Fortunately, I did not have to learn to carry decimal place in the my head when using a slide rule. The slide rule was introduced in a freshman college class, but hand held calculators were available I don't think I would have done well keeping up with decimal place. Guess how many years ago that was?

Our family had a restaurant (coffee shop) in the mid 70's when my brothers and I were young. We use to mix ammonia with bleach for mopping the tile floors. I guess the tall 20' plus ceiling and fans to dry the floor helped reduce the fumes we were breathing. Did figured it out eventually.

Depending on what you are mixing you could be Saved By Zero so One Thing Does Not Lead To Another. How you Stand or Fall could depend on it.
