I took a huge L on that. Whatever the case, the quarter window louvers are so 70s cool.

What's this car? I don't know, and Nick doesn't know, but we've come up with some guesses:
first gen Acura Integra
second gen RX-7
1990s 240SX (not hatchback)
Supra
Ok, while making this section larger, I think I know. It's not in that list, but same era. The clue is in the decklid.

Two views of the same car. There are claims that four of these were produced, but there's only one known to still be in existence. (The date is not in the article I found the pics in.)

I think that’s an Oldsmobile show car, based on the C1 Corvette.
I never would have guessed Dodge On the louver car.
‘58 is correct on the Chevy I think. I don’t think the Impala name existed until then - the famous ‘57 Chevy with fins was a Bel Aire, wasn’t it? Then in ‘58 things started to get big. The ‘59 is radically different.
NSX in the 747, that’s what I thought!
Yesterday I saw a British Airways double decker WHALE at Dallas- Fort Worth. Not an attractive plane.

The 1959 was cool, and that’s when the GM “bubbletops” started, with the very thin posts. When I was very small, our neighbor bought one of these, and I’d go out and study it in the driveway.

1958 was a big change for Chevy. I know the tri-fives before it, 55-57, were similar, then 58 was a whole new animal. Same with 59.
Yes, 59 had the huge tailfins on the Impala with cat eye taillights. Beautiful car.
My 58 Biscayne was a nice car, but parts cost more for it since the 58 model year wasn't shared among other years. (I still have parts laying around from it, both original and NOS.)
And, yes, it's an Olds based off of the C1 Corvette.
