I dont have any braided lines going to my turbo housing, but there’s only one port under and to the left of the turbo intake (at least on the stock 15G, and I assume on any TD04). It’s a vacuum line to the TCV - I think it’s the “red” line - someone correct me if I’m wrong.
If that line is blocked or leaking, you’ll get some very strange behavior when entering boost, and also probably have some issues starting, as far as a vacuum leak can cause that.
