98 S70 non turbo loss of power

Update:
I checked my timing and there seems to be a couple different marks on it. There's sharpie written on it, an etched notch, and an engraved M. Any idea of which one I should go by or how to ensure my timing is ok?

The Sharpie seems to ID the cam sprockets, the intake side is marked F front and the exhaust R rear. The engraved M is irrelevant.

Look for and use the regular timing marks that are indicated in all of the how-to DIY instructions. I didn't see the proper timing mark on the intake (F) sprocket, so likely it is hidden under the white paint. That would place the mark on the exhaust cam sprocket (R) out of the picture, which would explain why I didn't see that one in the video either.

This thread (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=53377) is about something else, but it has pretty good pics of the timing marks on the sprockets, at the yellow arrows.

For any timing investigations, be sure the crank is on the timing mark.
