Thanks to all of you who take the time to write these great threads on specific repairs with parts and vendor info

Erik saved me hours of research and wondering about sources on voltage regulators this week

So i got the car from the shop, it appears that the front right motor mount may be bad as there is a lot of movement when doing ye old brake and gas test. Hoping to pull some mounts off the wrecked car or a parts car. Aside from that, it seems the flex pipe damage was pre-existing (had it since january) as the car is as quiet as it has ever been. Acceleration feels about the same, but the weird 2 silencer system the last owner put on seems to really work.

New upper torque mount as mine was destroyed... I didn't even need to cut or punch the centre out as it had already detached. I just used two g-clamps to wind the new one in, none of this faffing around creating a puller tool.

Image

I also stumbled across the correct rear spring seats for my non-nivomat car in the shed. No idea why my car (which didn't have Nivos from factory) had the Nivo spring seats but whatever. They were quickly swapped out, so I regained 20mm of rear travel:

Next up I overhauled my front suspension, which had worn upper spring seats. During teardown I noticed the cross nuts were missing and the dust boost were mounted incorrectly, so I sorted that too. The missing cross nuts explained why I had so much thread visible at the top of the struts, something I had been pondering for some time.

Upper torque mount was replaced with a MeyleHD item (no UK stock of Volvo branded ones at time of purchase, surprisingly. P/N5149434263/HD), whilst the spring seats were replaced with Lemforder items (P/N: 20152 01).

I lost something in translation , mon ami,
mes excuses pour notre horrible langue!

Is this an adjustment of the clutch?

No problem : I've succeed in to plug the hoses on their right nipple to rebuild the clutch system, so then, I had to bleed brakes "circuit" to be sure to have no more air in it.

So it's not a clutch adjustment. It seems to be "impossible" to adjust the clutch. For my system, as the hoses in place, the "run" of the pedal is very short. Question of habit I think.

I did enjoy the pic with you and the dog...

Eeew... jewels with a waterfall grille. They need an egg crate to look right. That reminds me, I need to figure out a way to graft an egg crate onto my Mountaineer!
Ahhhhhh the famous volvo look aka eggcrate grille! I need one of those! Can I get one for a 1998 v70 GLT with a LPT?
