Oh Im sorry, I thought you had spares of each. Please do not disassemble on a whim!

I did have to use the C70 foam with the c70 skin, when I went to put the c70 skin on the S70 seat bottom, it was loose and baggy from the bigger bolsters. The hog ring clips amd rails are different too, but I didn’t out those in, I was happy to secure just at the sides of the seat rails and at the rear, with zip ties.

I had to use the S70 seat back foam to fit with the later S70 SIPS, this fit was ok, like 8.5/10

Kind of like when Baggies beat Wolves last week.

Alistair...the headrests are different too. I had to punch new holes in the leather to refit my S70 headrests through the C70 leather. Wasn’t hard to do with a sharp knife, just cut an X where you feel the hole in the leather for the headrest post

My daughter loves the new bolster , and it’s really good for my fat bottom , too. ( she luckily is only 8 stone)

So I replaced my exhaust manifold yesterday and boyo, what a pain in the behind! I sprayed the nuts of the manifold with WD-40 a few nights before and did that three times. The manifold came of with ease. The pain in the behind came from actually getting the right manifold. I got this manifold from eBay and I thought it was the right one (I searched on a partnumber and clearly I had the wrong one).

I've called three different Volvo-dealers and two salvage yards who specialize in Swedish cars and luckily, I found the right one in the last salvage yard I called.

What's up with this manifold? I mean, I've searched on American websites like FCP Euro and IPD USA and I couldn't find it there. I looked at some Dutch and German carparts stores (Autodoc being one of the biggest in West-Europe) and nope, can't find it there. So I replaced the exhaust manifold and asked the man who runs the DIY-garage who's also an expert welder with 35 years of experience if he could weld the cracked manifold so that I have that one as a spare. He said that welding cast iron is kind of tricky, but I saw a sparkle in his eyes. He welded the cracked manifold and he succeeded in welding it!

So can anybody here shed some light why this manifold is so hard to find? Is there a replacement part for it? Did I miss something when searching for a new one? I'm just curious. I also be posting some photos real soon because the S70 is being equipped with a LPG-tank as we speak!

Glad it came off easily, but WD40 isn’t the right stuff, you want a penetrating lubricant like Kroil, Liquid Wrench, or PB Blaster

A mix of ATF and acetone works well , too.

Heat is your friend on fasteners like this, cycle about 30 seconds of propane torch on each one, three times, let cool, then apply penetrant.

Unless cast iron is drilled at both ends of the crack to release the strain, then preheated, it will crack again.

And he's right, cast iron is more of a dark art when it comes to welding... I'd rather try to strike an arc on a painted surface =P

Your doing the LPG conversion is worthy of a thread of its own. IMHO. Please keep us posted as it goes.

hi i certainly would never fit the repaired manifold esp on a lpg system,every part needs to be perfectly servicable to be safe i have seen the result of lpg ignition under a bonnet and boy it is not pretty! saying that i have had manifolds and cylinder heads welded and work just fine on petrol engines,good luck but do be careful.

We've had a couple houses blown off their foundations in the last ~5 years from people not spending the time to bubble check for leaks.
