No Volvo work today, but I did clear 8 inches of new snow off my Mercedes and cleared the sidewalk. It is unusual to get that much snow here in southern Oklahoma. It fell yesterday and last night. Dawn was clear and -3 F. Negative temperatures are unheard of in this area. My heat pump with back up auxiliary electric heat never shuts off.

That’s gotta be ugly in an area unused to that cold. Stay off the roads

You guys are getting some crazy weather down there! It's our rainy season in NC unfortunately, not out of the ordinary here anymore. Haven't seen the sun in a week. It's miserable.
At least it's in the double digits, been in the high 30s, low 40s.

Seems my front driver side bearing plate is torn, thing makes a bit of a noise but the weather is not conducive to repairs nor is my schedule. Hope it lasts until April for a swap from a parts car.

Aside from that, the car runs strong and happy it seems.

Couldn't find any answer to these in a quick search, likely due to a lack of patience and brain cells on my part. Firstly, does anyone know what material (alu/steel?) the OE intercooler pipes are on the T5s? I'd go out and check but we're being battered by storms currently. Secondly, does anyone know how to test either the BCS or the CBV diaphragm? I have a combination of low boost and not holding boost, which meets the symptoms of both parts.

Being stuck indoors is making me contemplate silly things like respraying the hardlines etc.

Temperature was -9F this morning with clear sky. Forecast is more snow this afternoon. I grew up in northern Kansas and have seen more snow, ice and cold than here in Oklahoma. However, I was glad to move south and leave most of that behind.
