And a DIY post at that, good start! My first post was about trying to get the hood latch open on my cousin's S70 because the cable snapped. Then the next one was something about the heater core. This was just over 6 years ago now.
This car has since been manual swapped and MANY other things. Probably 15 Volvos later between the two of us (and nearing 30 cars total just for me since then ), those seem like minor annoyances now that I almost laugh at myself for even posting about.

When you reach my age you wake up giggling every morning, having cheated the Devil out of another day.

Of course one day, I did meet the Devil, charging $10 to enter the Gates, but he wouldnt take two gallons of used motor oil, so he told me to go back.

Yesterday it was -16°F at 7:00 AM, High for the day was +8°F. Today it up to +19°F.

Battery in the XC90 is under charged and will not crank the engine. Been too cold to stand out there and take it out. Thanks to today's 19°F, I now have it inside and on the charger. Little town where everything I need is within 2 miles. Short runs will not keep it fully charged.

Thinking I need to build a solar maintainer and install it on the XC90.

The $500.00 Mechanics special 2003 S40 fires right up and goes in any weather. Best deal in my fleet.

And here I was feeling lowdown because the temp didn't get above +32 for a few days on end in Delaware, keeping me from doing much of anything outside. '97 850 T5 lives in semi-conditioned comfort under the house.
You folks in the middle of the continent are taking it on the chin at the moment. Current thinking is 4-6" in DC, which of course will paralyse the city.
And just as a reminder, the vast majority of people who live in DC have nothing to do with the Federal Government, nor do they have representation in Congress.
