Not sure if there was a silver and gray in 98 but my former 98 S70 T5 had the nicest silver compared with later models which seemed to be more pewter.

Paint code 426 Mystic silver metallic.
Paint code 427 Graphite gray metallic.
Both where used on the S70.

Can I assume my former 98 S70 T5 was the 426 Mystic Silver?

I'm a third-generation Washingtonian; my grandad never voted his entire working life - because he couldn't. There was no way to vote in DC until the Limited Home Rule Act was passed by Congress in 1973. The 700,000-odd residents of the city still have neither voice nor vote in congress.

I never liked this color when these cars were still plentiful on the road and I was much younger. However it grew on me over the years. So much so that I eventually bought an 850 in it

Pewter is a nice color, my cousin had an M56 V70 in that color.

This doesn't apply to what I did to 'my Volvo' but moreso what I did with a few p80 parts that no one seems to want. My computer setup is the most important part of my apt besides my bedroom. With a Volvo wagon lineup as my monitor background, I might as well finish the job right? Hung up both v70 grilles above my monitor, inserted the airbag back into the OAK colored steering wheel which I set on my desk. And don't forget the 1995 Volvo 850 T5R Hot Wheels sitting on top of the sound bar. The next thing I want to do is create a sound system out of a set of Volvo 960 speakers so I have more treble and more bass. The Bomaker on my desk is TRASH. Pretty much trashy treble, no bass, adding up to mainly mids.
