There are just too many egg crates out there, with the nuts in their egg shells

What do you mean by that? I think the egg crate grilles are ugly unless they are reconditioned to new-look state. Even then they gotta be on the right Volvo to look good.

You are not the only one.

My 2003 S40 came with the Egg Crate broken. When deciding between a Waterfall and a Egg Crate, everybody in the neighborhood expressed their opinion. The Egg Crate got zero votes.

RICK?! Did you get a project done in the last 2 months? A Yamaha V8 in the s60R?! WOW! now the 2008 Chevy Impala SS (5.3L V8) has a rare competitor. If you come up with gas mileage numbers city/hwy and 0-60 numbers from your s60R, please let me know! Suddenly I'm intrigued! Either I've been skimming over that addition to your sig for a while or you JUST got that done. Ik the Y V8 comes from the XC90.

I got the engine in and fired up. Still rewiring the interior and getting the electronics / software straighten out. Project is on hold until next spring when it warms up.

The wall is the best place for waterfall grilles... S/V/C70s all need egg crates!

But if we're talking 850s, I definitely prefer the waterfall to aftermarket egg crate grilles I've seen.

What do you do with all the shells? I’ve heard they will also fowl your motor. There’s a magazine dedicated to classic auto, Hennings, of course, cheaper by the dozen.

Abscate, please don't kick me off just yet, but I have to agree with bmdubya. Although I even had an IPD eggcrate grill on my old 850 and I really liked it.
