I thought you may have been playing an early April 1st prank about the body, so I checked Wikipedia.
It said:
"The Trabant had a steel unibody frame, with the roof, boot lid, bonnet, wings and doors made of duroplast, a hard plastic made from recycled cotton waste from the Soviet Union and phenol resins from the East German dye industry."

I guess if you crashed, you got a tube of Testors plastic cement and stuck it back together?

I bet when they caught on fire they didn't smell all that great.

I wonder if one was sponsored by both Red Bull and Always if it would fly, since they both give you wings. :lol:

I read about that thing. I think it was actually on a Jeep or maybe it was a Toyota 4WD truck chassis.
