No problem. Sorry I flew off the handle; last week landed the second worst week of all time for me. Besides the eye surgery it was a slew of other problems that all came to a point last week. No hard feelings on my end either.

Just to close off the topic (considering all the advice everyone posted)

I was able to find a cheaper vehicle 1000$, 850 base 1997, with 130k miles and a suitcase of maintenance receipts. The catch was that it was a blind sale (ebay) in Chicago. So, with a little travel and some flexibility/patience, there are always more options.

Good luck! and if you have any problems, consider this forum your primary source for quick answers. You already have some experience with the your V70. I find it helpful having two mechanically identical vehicles. DIY knowledge gained on either is transferable to the other.

I could not imagine anyone paying more than $500 for one of these cars with a bad head. I recently purchased a local S70 T5 with 105,000 miles that had a burnt valve. The car is now in the hands of new owners that simply love it and have even taken it on a 1600 mile road trip.

I have sold white blocks for $1 with NO ISSUES at all, the new owner drove it for years without doing more than simplygas & oil changes. There are deals to be had, especially from people that:
1. Don't need the money from the sale.
2. Are not greedy.
3. Have a desire to be a blessing to someone else.
4. Don't know what they have.
5. Are simply done.
And the list of reasons go on and on...
