And the Clio RS (169BHP) for the interested :) Movie was shot when I had an Elia backbox fitted, but sold it again later as I liked the stock look (invisible exhaust) better in the end

Do you remember what year and model?

I've gotten a lot of comments over years, and it goes something like "hey my brother had one of those in the seventies". Oh really?
Then people look at me funny when I tell them that this is a different car and it's very likely that they have never seen one before. Almost the same body as the Mercury Capri MK II, but literally everything else about the car is different.

Speaking of Mercury Capris, gone are the days of the lightweight sports car. Except for Miata and its Fiat twin. Even 2020 BMW M2 is 3600lbs, and the 2 line is their attempt at fighting down size and weight. That's 400lbs more than an S70!

A car needs 300 hp now to be "fast", with all the weight they carry around. And the really fast ones have 400, 500, 600 hp. Thank goodness for engine management, fat rubber and brake tech to provide mpg, ability to turn and stop to these monsters.

The car I learned to drive with was a '79 Plymouth Horizon 5-dr hatchback, 2154 lbs, with a 65 hp VW inline-4 4-speed, and it was kinda fun.

Tuners and builders are rediscovering the joy of light cars from the 80s and 90s, as evidenced by what I see in the various automotive groups on Facebook, and kudos to them.

BTW the B pillar on my Golf Alltrack is probably 6 inches wide, a monsterous bulkhead sight-blocker, certainly made this way to score high in rollover testing, and it blocks the hell out of my view to the left/left-back blind spot.
