Volvo repair manual
Re: Volvo repair manual
Well strange happenings, had dinner, researched ways to find vacuum leaks and went out to take a look. Started car and had absolutly no gasping sound and idle remained constant. even drove it for a while still good. Wondering if its possible a injector was'nt seated perfectly or if its possible the intake gasket seated after heating up and cooling, I don't know. I'll give it a couple days and post back either way.

Injector could move but gasket would never move. Carb cleaner test can be hit or miss but I am guessing an injector or a hose.
If the idle is better ,I would bet you are ok.

Everything is running great. Thanks for the help, I know it must be frustrating working with back yard mechanics. Sometime in the future I'll need to replace a leaking power steering pump. If you could post the pdf for changing it would be appreciated.

Not really - I started there and very few helped me so its a way to make things better on this big blue ball.
PS pump procedure attached
What else?
1. Glad the motor is running well.
2. Get a high strength magnet and glue it to the outside to the power steering reservoir just past where the oil returns. You will be amazed at the life of your next pump. I get mine from http://www.KJmagnetics.com
3.Best wishes on future endeavors, pleasure to work through this with you - over and out - John

The computer reading says coolant level low, so I checked it and the tank was half full and so I filledit up. The computer still says it's low. Do I have to clear the codes or is the sensor defective. The engine temp is gauge says the engine temp. is normal.
