I'm trying to visualize what you're saying...

Where exactly is this mount? I see one (I think) right next to the serpentine belt, but I can't get to it unless I take the wheel off (hard when the car is on ramps).

If I get the pan out today in the next 3 hours without problems, I'll donate $25 to the site.

See bolt 16 and part 15.

You should be able to remove bolts and jack it up . The pictures on page 3 of this thread have shots of the gentleman who did this.

I am assuming you don't have an engine hoist you can just raise the engine up with.

Aha, then I can do that, through the plastic shroud. I'll give this a shot!

I'm at the same spot on a 99 V70 2.4 right now - dumb luck I found you - just removed r/f tire and have good access to the motor mount - now I've got to find some wood - btw - never found an oil level sensor to disconnect - also - the fuel line that wraps around the front of the motor - below the harmonic balancer - seems to be a pinch spot

From here it is basically whatever your specific car needs to have moved or loosen. You are right there, just keep pressing on and try yanking the oil pan out. It should slide a couple inches to the driver side but you may have to yank.
