Nice place, I always loved San Luis Obispo and Moro Bay too. Wasn't there a pier in San Luis Obispo (or nearby) that had a good restruant on the end of it?code-man850 wrote:San Luis Obispo, Ca

I have a Volvo S-70 and love it, hope you like yours too; the only problem is when you change the oil, you have to have the dealer reset the "Service Engine" light thingy.ADK46R wrote:Northern New York, up in the Adirondacks. Just got my first Volvo this week - a '98 S70. Road trip!

Well, as you can see from my ID on the left I'm in Florida, but I actually live nearer to Zephyr Hills than Tampa. I've got my 98 S-70 (114,00 miles) and an old '76 Fiat 124 Sport Spider I've got to put back on the road one of these days.

or wait for it to go itself, it automatically goes off after a period of time/miles. which ever comes first.
born in Philadelphia, still live in eastern PA.
Only Volvo in our family (so far) was a 1960s Amazon we were given from my late uncle's mother-in-law when she died. I loved that car - dark blue with brick red interior.
shopping for a newer used model now. no firm idea of what i want, but sedan or wagon is fine. probably 2002+, but could be talked into a pre-2000 model if it were in fantastic running condition and everything works.

Atlanta suburbs - very happy first time Volvo owners. My wife and I are both in our early 40s and we've never really had a car that we could love, until now.
We just bought a 1996 850 Turbo Platinum Limited Edition and it's more fun than any car we've ever owned. It has 150K on it, with new radiator, gas tank and seat heaters (from the recall), timing belt and water pump, upgraded air filter (a nice spectre filter), and the turbo tweaked up to about 14psi. Looks fantastic. Doesn't look nearly as fast as it is, but I love the '96 850 body style especially with the metallic cream paint.
Took it up on Sand Mountain/Lookout Mountain the day after we bought it and tried some high speed passing on 2-lane mountain roads ... what a joy! Kick in the seat acceleration and smooth as butter. And the seats are more comfortable than my mother-in-law's 2009 Cadillac.
My intention is to drive it at least until I can put an antique plate on it, which will be 2022 here in Georgia. Getting 500k miles on it would also be a worthy goal, and I think we can easily do it in this car.
Next immediate goal - shopping for an old cheap brick for our daughter to use at college.
