In a supposedly free country you are going to get that. Its annoying but I'm ok with it.
We have been locked down for a month and I have seen some odd behavior myself. I had to go to Home Depot the other day. No one allowed in without a mask , limit to the number of customers inside , 6 foot marks on the floor etc.

Wait in line try to exit , 2 or 3 maskless employees standing chatting basically across the exit. Whats the operating theory behind this?

I was annoyed but after I thought they were probably just pissed off and being passive aggressive?

At a dollar store a masked cashier removed his mask to chat with customers ?

Maybe lets just all get it so we can move on is what some are probably thinking.

My cousin got tested Tuesday morning , he heard the test was miserable with a q-tip rubbing your frontal lobes but after he said it was no big deal. So far he hasn't heard the results. He has 2 teenage daughters that live with him, do they automatically get tested if he is positive? He has no clue no one has said anything to him at all. Its not like they can go live somewhere else , or if they could that it would be smart , they would just spread it to another household if they have it right? He will be a week into it when the results come in so if he has it they probably do too , or they gave it to him and might test negative by now anyway.

State growth rates for May 6, 2020. All information is based on reported information and actual results may be different.

For your information, the top 5 states or territories yesterday in growth rate (the worst containment) are: Minnesota (0.262) with 8579 cases, Wyoming (0.141) with 631 cases, Delaware (0.122) with 5778 cases, Arkansas (0.084) with 3611 cases, and North Dakota (0.084) with 1323 cases. States in Bold have reopened to various levels.

Worldometer https://www.worldometers.info/coronavir ... rus-cases/ has started to add state curve information to their website.

A new column added on the right shows the current growth rate divided by the 5 day moving average. Wyoming and Delaware yesterday were over 2.00.

My calculated growth rate for USA is 0.0278 for yesterday, down from previous day of 0.0291. This is not population or case number weighted.

We are in a critical time now as some states start to loosen restrictions. Continue to do your part to stay healthy and keep virus spread down.

Stay safe out there. Keep your family close and others at a distance.

US shelves detailed guide to reopening country

.
.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) --- The Trump administration has shelved a
document created by the nation's top disease investigators with
step-by-step advice to local authorities on how and when to reopen
restaurants and other public places during the still-raging
coronavirus outbreak.

The 17-page report by a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
team, titled "Guidance for Implementing the Opening Up America Again
Framework," was researched and written to help faith leaders, business
owners, educators and state and local officials as they begin to
reopen.

It was supposed to be published last Friday, but agency scientists
were told the guidance "would never see the light of day," according
to a CDC official. The official was not authorized to talk to
reporters and spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of
anonymity.

Sounds like something frontier could smooth over with a few targeted donations to politicians running for reelection in the fall. wave a one dollar bill under thier nose and they will sit up and beg

As far as the disney thing ,they lost me as a customer for good in the early 1980's . I know a lunatic who goes to the one in Florida every single year! Shakespeare “focussed his attention ... on ... the plague of being governed by a mendacious, morally bankrupt, incompetent, blood-soaked, and ultimately self-destructive leader.”

What Shakespeare Actually Wrote About the Plague

Shakespeare lived his entire life in the shadow of bubonic plague. On April 26, 1564, in the parish register of Holy Trinity Church, in Stratford-upon-Avon, the vicar, John Bretchgirdle, recorded the baptism of one “Gulielmus filius Johannes Shakspere.” A few months later, in the same register, the vicar noted the death of Oliver Gunne, an apprentice weaver, and in the margins next to that entry scribbled the words “hic incipit pestis” (here begins the plague). On that occasion, the epidemic took the lives of around a fifth of the town’s population. By good fortune, it spared the life of the infant William Shakespeare and his family
...
...
It was early recognized that the rate of infection was far higher in densely populated cities than in the country; those with the means to do so escaped to rural retreats, though they often brought infection with them. Civic officials, realizing that crowds heightened contagion, took measures to institute what we now call social distancing. Collecting data from parish registers, they carefully tracked weekly plague-related deaths. When those deaths surpassed thirty, they banned assemblies, feasts, archery contests, and other forms of mass gathering. Since it was believed that it was impossible to become infected during the act of worship, church services were not included in the ban, though the infected were not permitted to attend. But the public theatres in London, which routinely brought together two or three thousand people in an enclosed space, were ordered shut. It could take many months before the death rate came down sufficiently for the authorities to allow theatres to reopen.

One of the challenges of Public Health In pandemics is factoring in poor choices by people which are inevitable ; anti-Vaxxers, lotto, buying guns to protect the home, gambling, smoking, Volvo’s without a stick shift

Its true , many would question how the same government that runs any form of lottery can say they are just looking out for the peoples best interest with a straight face.

I'm not against gambling mind you but I'd rather a sit in a poker game instead of playing a lottery where the house rakes in 50 cents on the dollar from every social security check cashed
