Changed Elizabeth T5 from the retro brushed steel look interior to warm wood, thanks to foggy and Neil for donating parts from their stashes.

That interior sure turned out nicely. Glad the parts from Foggy and I found a worthy home!

Yesterday I finally had time and availability to get the 98 V70 SE base back to fit the crank engine mount. Again another one of Volvo designers finest moments of making a simple job way harder than it needs to be by positioning the 2 bolts holding the mount to the sub-frame so that access especially to the rear bolt is almost impossible to get anything onto it as the RH axle is in the way.

My bigger worry was that the 2 bolts into the block would be seized but I whacked the 2 bolts to shock them and then sprayed them with PB Blaster and went and had a coffee. Came back and used an axle stand as a pivot for a long extension (old axle stand with a 'V' for solid axles). Went to put a lot of weight on the breaker bar and nearly fell on my face as they both came loose almost too easily! The other 2 bolts were also not as tight as I expected.

Swap over with a floor jack and a piece of wood under the oil pan was quick, the longest time being getting access to torque the rear bolt to the 60 degree add on torque!

I have to say that I did have a momentary panic when I compared the new part with the old knowing there is a part number change in late 98. The new part is different to the old one and looks a lot more robust. It looks more like the Hutchison part for a P2:

I had given this car a thorough going over and noted the mount was separating the rubber and metal. On removing the old part had separated completely on the outer half toward the RH wheel.

Also replaced the 2 x 12V outlet bulbs in the center console I swapped in recently now I found a bunch of the correct bulbs in the 'stash'! Now just have to find a suitable bulb for the ashtray and gearshift position for auto trans. Waiting for responses on this request to bulb suppliers including Mouser who have been helpful in the past.

Neil.

Very cool on getting things back installed. Great feeling, I know.
And your right - somewhere around 4:00 am the answer will probably come to you.

That rear bolt on the engine mount ( front of engine, right side of car) is b* to get to. It pays to out an impact in that anytime the timing belt cover is off from up top and give it a nice antisieze treatment

I have one shorter box end17 that fits in their and cracks it
