Let me set a few things in order: ETA's do have an adaptation that can be commanded via Vehicle Communication/select ECM/select Advanced tab/click throttle adaptation with key on engine off. OR turn ignition to pos II and do not start the engine. Wait about 45 seconds and the ECM will cycle throttle closed - open - closed - open - closed and ECM has determined potentiometer values at closed and wide open and that is all it need do.
With all that has been done and with those codes and MAF value in spite of replaced MAF and ETA, If the car was in my shop I would remove ECM and do a terminal drag test and terminal corrosion inspection. The females in ECM base plug have been showing up more and more. The drag test is done using a male terminal that is the size of the ECM pins that go into the females. The terminals are not easy to find and the parts guy at the dealer may not be much help. He should be able to get one of the good techs to tell him what he uses.
I would also make sure there are no leaks in intercooler or hoses from turbo to intercooler to throttle.
Prior to you replacing throttle I was going to say remove it and inspect for debris holding it open. New ETA would have eliminated that as cause. If the throttle gets hung the ECM has some weird little dance moves it does by canceling injectors and retarding timing to get idle speed down to not going to run away with you speed. That was not the case it seems but an air leak that gives too much MAF signal could still be some of the foolishness as MAF is used as plausibility check for throttle postion.
Throttle body cleaning issues EPIC Volvo saga...RESOLVED!!

Jimmy just as some background the OP had a reading of over 50kg/hr MAF reading at idle with the old MAF when normal reading is around 18kg/hr.
New one hasn't had that reading done yet but I would imagine that the reading is off the scale again.

I made the assumption since MAF sensor was changed with no change in the problem that it is likely still high. MAF sensor value should be read with his VIDA again to see if it did change.
You bet I have rough time. It is far from being on honeymoon. It is as if you wake up with a hangover the day after being fired to find yourself in a police station 60 miles from home.precopster wrote:Hi Sergio. You really are having a rough time with this aren't you?
I tried to clean up my car, it stooped working, so far one month without a car.
And as of next week I will be pounded myself for another month as I am going to have a foot surgery (got my crotches already). I can't expect my wife repair or do anything with this car....
So you imagine...

Sergio our vehicles can be as important as bread on the table (and for most of us the only way to get bread on the table) so I understand your dilemma fully. Be patient and hopefully we'll help you solve this.
Did you understand what jimmy57 is suggesting? Corrosion on your engine computer terminals can cause these problems. You'll require an ECM/ECU removal tool and the dummy plugs to help clean off the terminals (I'm not familiar with them) so you can inspect the terminals. IPD sells the removal tool for around $20.
Also pls provide the data as requested in post #70 and #73 . The table you've provided doesn't contain the MAF flow rate or the state of adaptation for the throttle. I provided the procedure in post #70 and if you recall the MAF flowrate was something you provided at the beginning. You need to click the plus sign in ECM and find MAF flowrate

Hello Matt,
This thread is awesome on many levels.
It now makes reference to previous comments. Hence I ask, is there a way to show count (number) on each post to easily identify the referenced post?
Many thanks.

Mike
As you know I am very very new to Dice / Vida, I get lost in the pages.
I once got the measures of MAF, not that there is no MAF malfunction reference, I don't remember where it was!
2
Is this where I have to go to activate TB?
My Stat / Stop don't make any change
3
I followed the instructions on this "TB adaptation.pdf" page.
Sorry, but I get lost at the Highlighted lines.
Thanks

If it's not in Activations Tab then it must be in Parameters or Advanced
I think you're forgetting that you need to click on the ECM icon in the diagram showing all the modules.
In any case you'll need the ECU/ECM removal tool from IPD or dealer. Call IPD on Monday
