The FRBs are good for heavy things that don't require a huge box. Unfortunately in most cases, the large FRB is still slightly too small for most things. Exhaust manifolds, for example... too long for flat rate.

Wow. My starter USPS to CT was $57! The medium box of motor mounts and misc returns was $21. The BMW washer in a flat envelope was $1.40. I was bruised when I left!

Wow, a large flat rate would have been like $18. That's crazy!

Next time use USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate. Just go to the post office and pick the free box in the size you need. Pack and ship. You are allowed 70 lbs per package.

If some people get their way by privatizing the USPS, we will all be paying extortion rates like Black Bart.

I would like to donate a 1998 V70 T5 that runs fairly well, needs some work to be legal (exhaust), needs other work in general (transmission, rear bumper, rear window). It potentially is transportation and if not is probably a reasonable parts car. Is there some way to get this to the FDPP or other appropriate MVS destination? It does need to vacate my driveway sometime soon. Near Boston suburbs.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the offer, enotslim. We don't have any sort of holding areas unfortunately. The best thing to do is do what you would normally.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

Seems like we have many more donors than people requesting parts, (un)fortunately.
