I'm not sure the nomenclature of the relay- just know there has to be a relay somewhere in relation to the ac system.
I believe it’s in the main fuse panel under the radio on a 940. What’s going on with it? Climate control module failures on these cars are super common. The solder joints need to be reflowed.

Put the summer tires on the Kat. I know it’s fall, but winter doesn’t come here until January really.

People in FL…get out!

I’m glad my VolvoMom is in Arkansas and not Jacksonville this year

The ac isn't working - hasn't worked for a couple of years- I had it serviced about maybe 8-10 yrs ago but decided to diy.
discovered the orifice tube was in backward and the hi pressure line was outfitted for R-12-
I changed it to accommodate R-134, had to jury rig the fitting.
now the pressure sensor isn't working. I briefly engaged the compressor clutch at one point, but doesn't engage at all now, even when the wiring is jumped.
So my thinking is maybe the relay is burned.
there is a "cut-out" on the compressor that prevents the clutch from engaging if the pressure gets too low- maybe/ that's the cause?

The cutout is the low pressure valve that lives on the passenger side near the firewall

It’s a series switch on the 1992-1998 cars, a logic switch on 1999-2000

(1998 v70 ????)

I prepped a 1998 for an engine pull and then drive Kat 30 miles on a qual run, then 45 miles for kid Birthday

It's his '92 940 in question. But yes, the low pressure switch is the cutoff on those as well. It's on the passenger side right near the drier, if I'm not mistaken. I'd have to look at a diagram to see the circuit, but if it's jumped and still not engaging, I would suspect the compressor clutch to be an issue.
I would really check a diagram before jumping to conclusions though.

Changed the spark plugs in the S40 today to try to eliminate P0420 before selling the car, and I think that may have done it. It probably needs injectors (or a cleaning/rebuild) but for now, it'll get it ready to pass inspection, which is my goal. I already replaced the cat (which I did not want to do), and while that improved the long term fuel trims by bringing them into a reasonable range, that didn't knock out the cat efficiency code. STFTs are still on the high side, so I'm thinking that the injectors could be dirty. I hate to just throw parts at things, but that's what it's felt like so far.

Repaired the wiring harness for the rear window wiper on my V70. Somehow about 5 or 6 wires had snapped in that harness, but now I finally have a working rear window wiper.
