In fact it was probably worse than this. It would have to be a project for love and not value. But there is definitely potential.

As for the saffron V70R. Wow! For a car with non-original engine and trans, and dodgy paint that is some selling price!

Wow that much!

Up here we have people trying to sell S70 NA's for $6000CDN. 850R (supposedly) that has high mileage and needs a timing belt and other work for $7000 CDN. Prices are not just nuts up here but plain stupid. Seems to be through out a price and see what sticks.

Robert just visited Handy Dan and looked over the Sonic Blue R project. That one has all the rear end rig swapped to FWD and a manual conversion. The guy does pretty clean work.

While I (obviously) don't need another project, I sure hope somebody steps up and keeps this one out of the crusher.
The high bid - the only bid - at $250 gets doubled by the BaT fee. Seems to have gone to a restoration shop. Massive number of comments, no action form the gallery.

I thought I saw arch rust and rocker rust, so a major project with no payback.

Has to be a labor of love, and not a financial one I think. We had a similar car back around the late 70's. Good cars.

122 wagon relisted after a no-sale in December for buyers remorse. Made $13k, likely not bad money for it.
