While cleaning up the garage a bit, I retrieved my Renzi floor mats that I bought last winter for my 850. They'll get cleaned up, and I'll put them in the S70 this year. The S70 has rubber Volvo mats....they look terrible, but I'm going to try to clean those up too.

I really need a shelf for Volvo parts. Right now I have a box that's overflowing.

Well the 'R' continues to break anyway it can. It is currently under covers in the garage for the winter. So I decided to finally get around to fixing the drivers front inside door opening handle. As my young friends V70 NA decided to break one in the summer (I have never seen this before), I repaired it and it was straight forward. About a month later my wife told me about the one on the 'R' was 'acting weird'. Did the 'R' behave the same way, and support the repair? Of course not!

Had to fight to get the master door switch off as the inner of the 2 multi-connectors would not release. Eventually it gave up and undid. Then the cable to the door handle refused to come out. After wrestling with it again it came loose. The little tab at the top broke off even though it was not being touched at the time. Why? Because it can on this car.............! Replaced the broken spring in the handle and re-assembled.

Still really un-impressed by the 'repair work' done by a supposed car upholstery 'pro' that was recommended to me when the 2 halves of the door panel fell apart and separated. What a mess he made and it still irks me that he left a clamp impression on the top face of the panel. I have done many of these since then and can honestly say my work is much tidier and OE looking but stronger. Also all the plastic mounting brackets actually line up with the holes in the door for the clips. :( :(

Anyway, back up and working as it should again. Now just have to wait out the winter to tackle the dashboard. Have to get the car into the new garage to be able to open both front doors fully.

Today I drove all five of my cars and rode my bike. Yes, that's every wheeled form of transportation that I own. Geronimo was driven to work on it and my new E350 was driven to actually get around. The other three cars were shuffled around to accommodate the fact that I'm only allowed two parking spots. The T5M still awaits its FCP order, installation of my nice spare wheels, and welding on its muffler clamp. The G70 is still suffering the misfire which I paid a mechanic to identify but haven't had time or parts to solve it. And the old Benz is still rusting away.

Will I ever get all five together for a group picture (before selling the old Benz and Geronimo)? That would really take some doing, but I'd really like to.

Bought a metal-cutting blade for the oscillating tool in the hope that, along with the nut extractor sticker, will help remove those pesky radiator mounting bolts. Fingers crossed!

I am jealous! I was surprised today that a parcel arrived out of the blue for my Toyota. Thought it was finally my exhaust headers arriving. Nope! Ordered back in May 20th 2023 and still no confirmed delivery. Told maybe end January 2023 or February 2023 (maybe) by the manufacturer in California. They shipped the 'Y' pipe but useless without the rest of the headers.

Update: Just took a call from the original company owner that I bought these through. He was updating me on what was happening and he had e-mailed the company earlier to see what the latest update was.

We had just about hung up the call when he said he had just got a reply! They claim the headers are shipping this Friday! Have to see to believe it. Expensive call as I was relieved of another $400 US for a pair of Magnaflow performace cats, and spacer bungs for the downstream O2 sensors so they won't throw a code. Ouch! This is getting really expensive and not even got them fitted yet which will double the cost! The fuel savings and performance increase had better be worth it! :D

I used to get frustrated with 2 week delays on parts for my Volvos!

Show us unboxing pictures! We don't get Skandix boxes and their precious contents in the USA.

No we don't get Scandix boxes as we have a Manovlov who has been very kind and helping us this side of the Atlantic with the shipping. Big thanks to him again!
