Feel bad for the donor car, it is a 1998 S70 T5M https://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/invento ... volvo-s70/ (VIN YV1LS5344W2424579) so from what I can gather somewhat rare. From what I could tell it had catastrophic engine failure, driver's side axle was gone (seems to be broken) and when removing the flywheel bolts with a breaker bar the rotating bits didn't rotate. Anyway, got the whole shebang, trans, flywheel, clutch master cylinder, pedals (don't think I can use these), shifter assembly and cables. Had to reposition to car on the sets as it was sitting on the read subframe mounts. Now to start parts gathering for a nice fall project.
I could use the front body parts off that car.... same color as mine. Too bad it's multiple states away. I checked LKQ's locator and I don't see anything in my area, of course I didn't take the time to check all the years.

Body panels were in great shape, also absolutely no rust on the car which was nice to not have to deal with stuck parts etc.

On Wednesday, I drove my Honda on a trip for car parts. I went through Texarkana after checking UAPI (u-pull) and then dropped down to Shreveport where I found a ton of 7th gen accords and only 1 had the upper display clock. The best news is that I scored 2 working rear seat belts from a 99 v70 na. I already got my right side passenger seatbelt working before going to Shreveport. Now I just have to replace the driver side seatbelt. That gravity thing is picky about the seat position. I went to Aero Auto slavage, UAPI (u-pull) North Shreveport, and Pipes parts (on same street). Not kidding, Antlers already gets hot and humid enough, but Shreveport was even more humid. I was told that and couldnt imagine. Now I know. I got SO many mosquito bites at Aero right before the rain came through.
Yesterday I got the front pair of Ohtsu (Falken budget line) 7000 tires replaced with a pair of Hankook Kinergy H750 4s2. The 4s2 is an all season but is designed similarly to the Michelin CrossClimate2 tires I have on my Honda. Both tires are made for more extreme conditions and with better fuel economy, but according to...hang on a moment...Tyre Reviews YT channel, the Hankook is nearly the best in the lineup, going head to head with Michelin. I think I am going to go back out to Rattan Trail to try these out. Ill let you know how it went.

It seems like everything gets quiet when I post on here. I understand if people are crazily weirded out by my strangeness.

Checked air in tires....850 was a couple pounds low in all 4 tires. The S70 was right on, in the front tires and a bit high on the back. I've been running the optional pressure of 36psi.

The higher pressure on the S70 makes sense since I've adjusted it more recently.

I didnt do the spares, yet.

Started clearing the barn for the disabled v70. Anyone have luck with those castor wheel squares that you put cars on to car them inside. May help with positioning in my case.

I went through my tire hoard and found wanli’s, gt radials, coopers, etc. I noted the current tires on my s60 are 70$ special gt radials. It feels a lot worse then the old Michelin defenders. Debating if the money is worth it at this time or to wait until these wear out. Found my 16inch rims from the p80’s. Thinking these will be my winter rims.

I am probably going to do a foglight install on the new car sometime this summer.

Which Honda is this?

In terms of forum activity I always noticed the Volvo forums were a lot more active then Toyota and Honda.

In terms of tires I always used Michelins for better performance.

The Honda in my signature. 6 VTECed cylinders and 6 crazy speeds. Im not kidding, this thing is fast. Overtaking/passing cars going 5-10mph under the limit is crazy. I kick it down from 6th gear to 3rd or 4th to prepare for the pass. Kick it back into 6th about 3/4 of the way in the pass. Its easy to get to nearly 90mph without meaning to. I have only done that in the last 6 months and I need to tone it down a bit. LOL.
