I like it!
That’s a nice looking wagon though, someone needs to go grab it. The V50 is probably an M66, M56 2.4i models are pretty rare... possibly more so than the ideal spec T5 AWD M66. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one.

Original owner 850 for 1k with an estimated 140k miles. I'm imagining if they never fixed the odometer theres probably other stuff they didn't fix either, but even with the paint it might be of interest to somebody

Might go check this out in the morning for my cousin (she's an essential worker working third shift and has been using my second car as we don't need it during stay at home orders). It's high milage but the price is very reasonable. The town is a high income area (thinking of abscate's tip to focus on wealthy towns for used cars) and the owner has had is since about 90k miles and sounds like he's taken good care of it.
I figure since it has more or less the same engine as my 99 s70 i'll be able to get an accurate assessment of the health of the car. Plus it being the base model there's no expensive AWD or turbo system waiting to break.
Looks like it will need a timing belt soon, everything else I'll have to wait to see what I find. Common problems seem to be electrical and related to the sunroof, anything else I'm missing? Concerns about the transmission?
Am I being naive (again) with another high milage car, or if this thing checks out could it be worth it?
Seller Price is listed at $1400
Kbb Private party is $2500 average
NADA guides is 1150 average trade in - 3300 clean retail

At that price, it's worth a look. The P1s are pretty good cars overall. They have their issues like any other car, but as far as the engine and transmission, they're pretty solid, especially the 2.4i. I don't hear about the transmissions in these failing as often as other AW55s for some reason. Maybe it was a later, improved version.

Looks like it had been well maintained and has a ton of new parts so just may need a little cleaning. The rims look real nice also. I'm sure you can knock a few hundred off.smacknab wrote: ↑04 May 2020, 12:17thanks for the affirmations, gonna check it out this afternoon!bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 22:43 At that price, it's worth a look. Unfortunately the guy gave me a time to see it in the afternoon then texted an hour later saying it was sold to a guy in the neighborhood who walked up to his door with cash in hand. Oh well!MoVolvos wrote: ↑04 May 2020, 16:10Looks like it had been well maintained and has a ton of new parts so just may need a little cleaning. The rims look real nice also.
