Glad you and the car are ok. Up here we are currently in the deep-freeze. Ysterday we were at -42C here in Calgary and Edmonton hit -52C!! The CAA apologized that it may take up to 3 days to get to you, even just for a boost.

No complaints about our 0F in that case. AAA took a few hours this morning, and about 3 minutes to winch the car back on to the driveway. Glad my better half convinced me to let it be last night before the car took the polar plunge.

This icy story has a happy ending...
Years ago my wife and I were both working and each had driven a Volvo to work. Mine 1983 245 and hers 1987 244. We arrived at the same time to the dip in the street near our house. The dip is about 15-20 feet deep and the has a higher slope on the exit side. I was to go first while my wife waited at the lower side. I almost made it to the top of exit side then spun out. I slid backwards and with some fancy (lucky) steering, just missed my wife's car.
Next try I made it up the far slope. I don't remember my wife having a problem. I think I was in shock thinking how I would have explained the accident to our insurance.

I recall my dad telling stories about changing oil when the engine was running because it was so cold. If they shut down the engine to change the oil, the engine it would be so cold by the time they finished they could not get it started until the next spring.

Ha! First 2022 addition to the dirty laundry
Got the S70 AWD rear axle all sorted, could not get back brake caliper to bleed. Finally dropped rear torsion arm assembly And here was brake line

User error. The bends are normal but when I the torsion arm and mount I caught the brake line in between mount and frame and mashed it flat in two places
